New Gambling Law Indiana
Under Indiana law, all current employees at Gary's Majestic Star casinos will be transferred to the Hard Rock Casino, but the company said additional workers are needed to staff the 1,600 slots. Indiana legislators have approved a wide-ranging gambling bill that legalizes sports betting in the state and allows new casinos in Terre Haute and Gary.
Indiana sports betting is live for both online and in-person wagering. The first brick-and-mortar sportsbooks opened in Sept. 2019, and the market went online statewide in Oct. 2019.
