A: Monsters will sometimes join your party after you defeat them. It may take a few battles to convince some of the tougher monsters to join you. You can also capture two of the same monster but it's much more difficult.

Pontoon is an island in Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride that only appears in the remakes. Located due east of Lodestar Harbour, it is the location of the Ventuno Casino Ship owned by Rodrigo Briscoletti. The player can visit this location once the hero receives the ship as a wedding gift.
