Landoll's Mohican Castle is a small resort located southest of Cleveland in Loudonville. The building is an architectural masterpiece and the hotel was featured on Fox's hit television show, Hotel Hell, with host Gordon Ramsay. The castle hotel has eleven suites, four additional hotel rooms, and cottages. Quicken Loans Arena, JACK Cleveland Casino, and Wolstein Center are a few additional nearby sights. Cleveland State University is also located 0.8 mi (1.3 km) from Progressive Field, and Greater Cleveland Aquarium is 1 mi (1.7 km) away.

History[edit]

Casinos were prohibited in Ohio before 2009, so gamblers instead visited casinos in Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Michigan where they were permitted. In November 2009, Ohio voters approved a measure that would allow for four casinos to be established in the state, one each in Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland and Toledo. The casinos were expected to generate $600 million in revenue, with fees collected there to be redistributed to school districts and local governments in the state. It passed by a vote of 53 to 47.^[1]
